Barbara Tate
Barbara Tate is an amateur arranger and composer who lives in Olney. She has played in recorder ensembles, sung madrigals – and played the recorder in a semi-professional folk dance band. Whilst working in schools, teaching IT and music, she discovered Sibelius and how it could help with musical arrangements and later, composition. She has created website content for both Milton Keynes Council and Sibelius software and more recently for a small number of private clients. She was married to Douglas Tate, the internationally renowned harmonicist who died on 16th November 2005. Since Douglas’s death, she has maintained her links with the National Harmonica League – and is currently involved in assisting with its magazine and website editing.
