There’s a widget or a plugin for everything – whatever you want wordpress to do!
Tried for ages last night to get the Scorch plugin to work – unsuccessfully – it wasn’t until I tried the old website pages I realised that at some stage, the hosting company had managed to disable the .sib MIME type on the webserver. It’s IIS so I couldn’t do it with .htaccess and had to get them to do it for me. All sorted now and working – now I have to work out a consistent size for the plugin on the page.
Not keen on the inbuilt WP Gallery so have tried a test run of the Slimbox plugin – I am a fan of Lightbox2 outside of WordPress, so it’s reasonably easy to use! Added a bit of CSS styling and there you go. Next stop some music and the Scorch Plugin … maybe not tonight!
PS The test run is here on the Photos page
I am in the process of dragging barbaratate.com and douglastate.com under one roof – and for better or worse have opted for a WordPress installation to double as both a blog and a CMS – let’s see how it goes as I move the content from the two sites across! To start with though, there will be very little new content to see!
